Anderson Copper's Interview with Price Harry

 

    The interview with Anderson Copper and Prince Harry was a let down it was repeat of what other media outlets talked about. Copper did not take advantage of his early access to the book, he could have talked about new points but he chose to play it safe. There was only one moment when Copper challenged Prince Harry when he asked why he kept his title and if the reason behind it was for profit. This was a good question but Copper lacked the motivation to get an actual answer. Prince Harry answered by saying it made no difference and offered no further explanation to what that meant. I was surprised Copper  let it go and moved on the next question. 

    Prince Harry's response took a jab at the royal institution because his title does make a difference. If a title did not matter they would not exist in the workplace to distinguish who has the highest authority and power. He is not recognizing the privilege  his title has allowed him to have.  Does he believe if he had not been born a prince people would be buying his book or he would hold this spotlight? No, he would not be well known but because he was born a prince he is able to capitalize on his past. This is what confuses me about Prince Harry because he says he no longer wants to be a royal yet the most lucrative jobs he has deal with his royal ties. 

    He is giving mix message of what he wants vs what he is actually doing.  Prince Harry has divorced the firm but wants to keep his title and keeps bringing up the royal family. He has  not moved on and is still in the past trying to be a part of the family from a far. This weakens his message about being independent from the firm and brings to question for how long is he going to do this for? How many more times will he bring up his royal past and profit from it? I haven't seen the Harry that he mentioned that is healed or has moved on from the firm rather I see someone desperate for attention from the royal family. Its sad that he choses to be tied to the past and instead he does not move forward with his new life. It would have been great if his new projects were not tied to the royal family and he created a new image for himself now that he is not a working royal. Because if he keeps on going on about the royal family he is going to burn out a lot of people out including himself.
